Spring. Break.

2010
03.12

It’s been awhile, huh? Not that any of you silly readers actually read my blog. I just wanted to let ya know that spring break = :) . And I’m pretty sure that Mr. Wilson would say that’s a real equation. You know what you guys should do?

Tell me about spring break. Your favorite part, the best break memory you have, or suggest something for me to do with mine.

Ex. “Noah!!! Guess what? I’m going bungee jumping this spring break in Colorado. It’ll be so bamf. Then I might eat like 16 sheep brains and you should totally have a contest with your friends over brain eating.”

I’ll come back and tell you what I did with my time, assuming I feel like it. :) Jump on those comments.

Hangman game

As part of my final in Computer Programming I, I had to design a Hangman game. I thought I’d post the completed project here since I have some free time on my snow day and ask for your input as well as suggestions for more programs that would be useful or fun. If I decide to make them, I’ll post them here when I’m finished. It’ll help my Visual Studio and VB skills and you’ll get a fancy custom designed program. :) That’s what the underused comments section down there is for…

AP Euro sharing site

I’ve created a redirect at http://ap.completerandomness.com/ to a Google Docs sharing page so everyone in AP Euro can collaborate on assignments and complete work faster.  Best of all, no one has to sign in to Google so it’s super easy!  Check it out and let me know what you think!  Even better, start adding your own content!

Three sonnets

2009
04.06

Sonnet 1

Panting as the day shines bright and the trees
rustle, running up the sidewalk, sliding,
finding poise, limping home, cookies appease
and not even helpful would be riding.

Laying, breathing, the bed becomes a cloud,
soft under aching bones as sleep arrives.
Waking with a start, it is something loud.
Drifting off, of sleep a backpack deprives.

Noisy annoyances arrest slumber
devices continue incessant blare.
Hours prevented in countless number,
beginning to wish I could truly swear.

Patting my head, the boy walks straight through
while my animal eyes connect like glue.

Sonnet 2

Deer trek throughout the crowded underbrush,
as the distressed call of a hawk sounds out.
Tigers I almost glimpse before the rush;
the lone sound is their mighty, regal bout.

Bubbling, riling, the brook explodes.
Trout hurriedly leap from crossing gazelle
as the hillside very slowly erodes.
In waiting, grizzlies truly excel.

Trapped at the foot of a tree, squirrels tremble
as a coyote’s jaw devours the snack.
Sleep comes as the hunt doth disassemble.
Tree branches fall suddenly with a crack.

With a bang, a body falls, just for sport
the young man said, pulling him to the fort.

Sonnet 3

Long lists compile and CDs doth stack.
A lengthy list of chores rests on my desk.
Computers distract, dogs invite a smack,
and a mocking bird’s song is so grotesque.

A lamp bursts while a clock’s tick don’t cease,
music is disgusting while pencils scratch.
There’s something on my hand, I discern grease;
metal in the dryer doesn’t attach.

An idiot in a car abutting
thinks his radio isn’t loud enough.
Passing through a junction; his car cutting.
Just because he’s a bully, he’s not buff.

Homework done and the idiot disposed,
the wrath is no longer quite so exposed.
